Speaking as someone who does not regularly follow the Archives &amp; Archivist listserv, I prefer lengthy, winding, and/or sometimes interesting sometimes not-so-interesting discussions to take place on blogs and between blogs. This isn&#039;t the post to have a listserv v. blogs v. forums v. whatever-else-one-could-throw-in-the-discussion debate (feel free to direct me to that previous post/endless argument), but I will say that one of the reasons I prefer blogs to listservs of late is that I can choose to not return to an individual post and its comments or an entire blog if the tone and community are not to my liking whereas as a digest subscriber I must sort through all of the muck. As a digest subscriber I must acknowledge Mr. Peterk&#039;s continuing efforts to reduce the duplicated messages I must page through with each installment. Your commitment to a losing battle is worth noting.</description>
