Archival identity, diversity, and respect

What an arresting line up of topics!

I thought some of the readers of this blog might want to begin paying attention to the proceedings over at the Reading “Archives Power” blog. We’ve made it to the final chapter, which is so dense that I decided to break down the discussion into the ideas presented in smaller sections of the chapter. For example, yesterday’s post presents Jimerson’s arguments about diversity and professional identity, which are topics that many of you may also wish to discuss.

If you have access to the book, you should certainly try to read the pages under discussion so that you can address Jimerson’s treatment of the ideas, but I think that these topics are certainly worth discussing in a broader context as well, so please join in the conversation!
