Help your archivist colleagues (and maybe yourself): Speak out in support of the public option
I shouldn’t have to explain why it’s so important for many of our archivist colleagues that health care reform include a public option. Call Congress today at (202) 224-3121 and tell them you want a public option now–we can’t afford to wait. Contact your Congressional representatives and tell them that we can’t wait for private health insurers to fail before we start working on the solution–you can locate your representatives by going here and using the “My Elected Official” search box at the left.

UPDATE: Hmm….that phone number seems to be a bit overwhelmed. I called my senators and representative directly. And emailed for good measure too. Here’s another video, might not touch your heartstrings like the one above, but makes good sense:
